Ingredients that boost your energy after exercising

March 9, 2019 by Janice Simpson

After a workout, your body needs specific nutrients to repair your muscles and stabilize your blood sugar.

Greek Yogurt: Greek yogurt has doubled the amount of protein and carbohydrate compared to regular yogurt. You can mix yogurt with cereals and fruits because they are rich in micronutrients that have been proven to help fight muscle aches and pains.

Cookies Sandwich: You can make your own homemade bread, make yourself a chicken sandwich or tuna sandwich. Tuna is low in calories but high in protein and carbs; Spinach has many nutrients that will reduce inflammation.

Milk chocolate is a drinkable drink after exercise. Chocolate contains carbohydrates and proteins needed to restore muscles. Water content will also replace lost fluids and milk and calcium supply will help your body recover faster.

Fruits are packed with healthy carbohydrates and digestions that help the body break down nutrients, so they can be transferred to your tired muscles. Fruits like pineapples, kiwi have anti-inflammatory properties that help restore muscles and digest acid.

Whole grains: After exercising, choose a high-protein and high-fiber, low-sugar food. Whole grains are perfect for reloading lost energy.

Eggs: Eggs are a versatile food and can be eaten at any time of the day, providing all the proteins you need. You can eat eggs with a piece of toast, a little bell pepper and butter.

Almonds and oranges: Almonds provide healthy protein and fat that your body needs after exercising. In addition, almond snacks limit appetite. Orange provides vitamin C and minerals that enhance immunity, making the body absorb nutrients immediately after exercise.

Salmon and olive oil: Salmon contains omega-3 fatty acids that help relieve muscular inflammation after exercise causes pain. This healthy fat is also known to increase the ability to burn fat. Adding olive oil to fish will increase the amount of healthy fat.

Banana milk: If you don’t like chocolate you can eat milk with bananas. This will balance the amount of protein and carbohydrates in the body. Potassium from bananas is good for the activity of cells, tissues and organs in the body.
